The Town of Yorktown remains in Republican control after Ed Lachterman was elected Town Supervisor. Lachterman received 55% of the vote, defeating democrat Jan Mirchandani, with 45%. A special election was held on April 16 to elect a replacement to Supervisor Tom Diana, who passed away in January. Lachterman has served on the Town Board since 2015.
